This article describes the third season of the Erste Bank Juniors League (EBJL for short), the U18 youth league in Austrian ice hockey. If necessary, the Austrian U18 champions will also be played in addition to the EBJL master.
Participating teams
In the third season of the EBJL there were some changes in the field of participants, the total number could be increased to 18 teams again. The following clubs from Slovenia are no longer represented in the competition: HK MK Bled and HK Celje. After a one-year break, the HDK Maribor and, from Austria, the player community of the Landesleistungszentrum Steiermark Süd and the EBEL Club Graz 99ers are back. There are also newcomers from Hungary: With the Kanadai Magyar Hokiklub Budapest, three clubs from this city are now participating. As in the EBYSL , a community of players from Eastern Hungary - the Debrecen-Miskolce Select - is now represented in the EBJL. This selection replaces the Miskolci Jegesmedvek JSE association. A club that is completely new to the various Erst Bank leagues has also been won: HC LVI Břeclav.

Group stage
For the first time, the field of participants was divided into three groups (A, B and C) Group stage: 1.5 times round trip rounds within the group + 1 game against each team from the other two groups. Number of games: 27 games for each team in the group stage
Play-offs
For the play-offs, the three group winners and 4-8 are. placed teams from the overall table. The play-offs are played in a best-of-three series. The team that is better placed in the overall table has home rights. The top three in the group have the right to vote for the quarter-finals.
Austrian U18 champion
Austrian U18 champions cannot become an international (= non-Austrian) club or an association with the official academy status of the ÖEHV. Should no Austrian club win the EBJL final, the championship title will be played separately in a best-of-three series between the two Austrian clubs with the highest points in the basic round . Eligible to play for the Austrian U18 title are: EV VSV, EC KAC, EHC Linz, Vienna Capitals, LLZ Styria. South - EC Graz 99ers

In a best-of-three series, the Austrian championship title was played out between the KAC and the Vienna Capitals. The Vienna Capitals were able to prevail in 2 games.
