The EHC team took part in the Regionalliga Süd for the first time in the 1989/90 season. When the leagues were redistributed in 1994, the EHC team was divided into the third-class 2nd division . Already during the 1996/97 season there were financial problems at the EHC, so that the EHC team was only able to play the remaining away games of the main round thanks to the financial support from the opponents. After the sporting descent, the financial collapse of the EHC followed.
EAC Bad Reichenhall
After the insolvency of the EHC, the Ice Hockey Athletics Club 1997 Bad Reichenhall (EAC) was founded. The club played in the district league and the state league. After the ice rink was demolished in 2006, the club stopped playing.
