EMS traineeship

EMS trains young journalists for online, radio and television as a trainee. The traineeship lasts 20 months. Half of the training takes place in school, the other half in the editorial offices of public and private broadcasters. The EMS works closely with the rbb . The focus of the training is on linking all media ( cross-media ) and telling creative stories (digital storytelling ). The participants are determined in a selection process. The prerequisite for applying for an EMS traineeship is a high school diploma or technical college entrance qualification as well as proof of previous journalistic knowledge.

The online training follows the introductory training. The radio training lasts nine weeks and ends with the broadcast weeks. TV training at EMS takes ten weeks.

EMS works with numerous editorial offices in Germany, in which the trainees complete their editorial training. Including the editorial offices Spiegel Online , tagesschau.de , Radio Bremen , ARD-Hauptstadtstudio , rbb Radioeins , Inforadio , ARD-aktuell , NDR Zapp and Deutsche Welle .

Education and training

In addition to its own volunteers, EMS also trains young journalists from other (media) companies such as volunteers from ProSiebenSat1 Media AG and Radio Bremen . In addition, in-service training in content marketing has been offered since 2016 .

For training purposes, EMS has training rooms, two radio studios and a TV studio, which can also be rented, including equipment rental.

Consulting, media services and production

EMS advises and supports journalists, media producers and media partners with the implementation of their projects. She also works as a production company and produces films and contributions, mostly for rbb television.
