Trivia

There was a curiosity in the encounters between 1. FC Saarbrücken and the Portuguese club GDCS Juncal . On October 25, 2019, both the first and second leg were played in Saarbrücken on the same evening. The representatives of both clubs agreed on this because a strike in the Portuguese airports had been announced on the date of the second leg on November 1st, which would have made it more difficult for the Saarbrücken team to arrive or depart.

In order to avoid the quarter-finals (cost reasons), Vaillante Angers intentionally lost to Leka Enea TDM . For this, the club was fined 5,000 euros by the European table tennis association ETTU .
