Ebbinghausen is a district of the city of Erwitte in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1974 Ebbinghausen was a municipality in what was then the Lippstadt district .
geography
The village of Ebbinghausen is west of the Tiwecke stream. In the middle of the village are the St. Johannes Nepomuk Chapel and the former school with its outbuildings.
history
The first mention of Ebbinghausen comes from the 13th century. Since the 19th century Ebbinghausen was a rural community in the office of Anröchte of the Lippstadt district. On January 1, 1975, Ebbinghausen was incorporated into the city of Erwitte by the Münster / Hamm Act , which was assigned to the enlarged Soest district.
