Schallern is a district of the city of Erwitte in the Soest district with 315 inhabitants.
Geographical location
Schallern is located about 10 km west of Erwitte , 10 km east of Soest and 35 km west of Paderborn, and 45 km east of Dortmund . The village is also located directly on the old Hellweg or today's Bundesstraße 1 .
history
On January 1, 1975, the previously independent municipality of Schallern became a district of the city of Erwitte as part of the municipal reorganization in North Rhine-Westphalia.
