chapel
The St. Agatha Chapel was essentially built in two construction phases. In 1895 the tower, choir and surrounding walls of the transept were built in rubble stone . The latter was probably vaulted expressionistically in 1922 . In 1928 the nave was added and the transept was adapted to the new building. The late baroque high altar , a so-called tobacco altar, was created between 1730 and 1740. It is adorned with applied ornaments , tendril combs and ribbon work and shows the Madonna with child and a globe, as well as St. Joseph with the Jesus boys. He is crowned by St. Agatha , the chapel patron.
Festivals
One week after Pentecost, the annual shooting festival takes place in Stirpe.
