Horn-Millinghausen is a district of the city of Erwitte in the Soest district . A well-known sight is the St. Cyriakus Church in town.

Horn is located in the Soest Börde, in the Soest district, about 7 km west of Erwitte , 11 km east of Soest and 35 km west of Paderborn, and 45 km east of Dortmund .

history
Horn (Haron, Horren, Hornen, Haren) is documented as early as 823 in the Corveyer traditions. These are lists of donations and transfers of goods to the former Corvey Benedictine monastery .
Name changes
Around 1900 the municipality of Horn was renamed Horn-Millinghausen. On September 23, 1954, it was finally given the name Horn-Millinghausen.
Incorporation
On January 1, 1975, the municipality of Horn-Millinghausen had to give up self-employment. It was incorporated into the new city of Erwitte.

Festivals
On the 2nd weekend in September the shooting festival of the shooting club Horn-Millinghausen eV takes place; On the 2nd weekend in November, the same association has been organizing the Horner Herbstmarkt, a craft, decoration and gift market since 2014. Since July 2004 the International Hellweg Art Bridge Symposium has taken place every two years in July.
