chapel
The St. Lucia Chapel is owned by the town of Erwitte and consists of a simple half-timbered hall with a gable roof and gable turret . The original dating goes back to the year 1626. In 1920 the chapel was completely renovated. Between 1978 and 1981, the slab on the western gable side was removed. The entire framework underneath had to be rebuilt between 1990 and 1992.
Inside the chapel there is a baroque altar with a relief representation of the birth of Christ and two figures of Saint Lucia , one of which is attributed to the sculptor Johann Heinrich Joseph Stratmann (1736–1805).
There are also several crossroads and figures of Mary in the village.
economy
