Eberhard Schlephorst

Eberhard Schlephorst (born December 17, 1925 in Brilon ; † February 28, 2011 near Munich ) was a German administrative lawyer and board member of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft .

Life

After military service and imprisonment, Eberhard Schlephorst studied law at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg , at the Philipps University of Marburg and the University of Cologne . In 1963 he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . He entered the civil service and initially worked as a criminal and civil judge at various courts, most recently at the Federal Labor Court .

In 1963 he moved to the Federal Ministry for Scientific Research . Among other things, he played a leading role in the “Guidelines on fundamental, structural and organizational questions of legally independent research institutions”, which established ten major federal research centers, such as the Karlsruhe Nuclear Research Center and the German Electron Synchrotron (Desy) .

When Heinz Keller took office as the new President of the Fraunhofer Society in October 1972, Eberhard Schlephorst became the first full-time member of the Board of Directors for Law and Personnel in 1974. He was significantly involved in the implementation of the new Fraunhofer model. He was followed by Dirk-Meints Polter when he retired in 1989.

Eberhard Schlephorst was an honorary member of the Fraunhofer Society.

Since 1949 he was a member of the Catholic student associations AV Rheinstein Cologne and VKD St. Rhenania Marburg , both in the CV .
