Eberhard von Krosigk

Anton Eberhard von Krosigk (born January 13, 1855 in Mansfeld , † April 20, 1932 in Dessau ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and legal knight of the Order of St. John .

Life

origin

He was the son of the State Minister and chairman of the ducal-Anhalt State Ministry Anton von Krosigk (1820-1892) and his wife Marie Rosa, born von Schlieckmann (1827-1909).

Military career

After attending grammar school in Meiningen, the Roßleben monastery school and the Brandenburg Knight Academy on January 5, 1874, as a three-year-old volunteer, Krosigk joined the personal company of the 1st Guards Regiment on Foot of the Prussian Army . In September 1875 he was transferred to the cavalry and came to the Uhlan Regiment No. 16 . In the further course of his military career, Krosigk was commander of the Thuringian Hussar Regiment No. 12 and commander of the 18th Cavalry Brigade . As a major general , he was on 16 June 1910 board for disposition made.

During the First World War , Krosigk was reactivated and on September 23, 1914 appointed inspector of the replacement squadrons of the XIV Army Corps for the duration of the mobile relationship . Krosigk married Berta Luise Ehrengard von Saldern from the Leppin house (* 1865) in Hanover on June 11, 1897 . She lived in Lüneburg after his death . The couple had four children, including:

  • Ludolf Albrecht Vollrat (1894–1915), Prussian lieutenant in the 1st Guard Regiment on foot
  • Dedo Wilhelm Buko (1895–1918), lieutenant at sea on SM U 64
