Ebersbach is a district of the municipality of Kötz in the Swabian district of Günzburg . The church village , which is located on the former highway from Augsburg to Ulm , can be reached via federal highway 16 .
history
Originally the place belonged to the Lords of Eberstall and came to the Wettenhausen Monastery in 1219 , which was secularized in 1803 . Of the eleven ponds of the monastery that were used for fish farming, four were in the Ebersbacher Flur .
The municipality of Kötz was created on July 1, 1972 through the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent municipalities of Großkötz and Kleinkötz . The community Ebersbach was incorporated on May 1, 1978 in the course of the regional reform.
