Robert Bruce Fairbairn (born February 19, 1947 in New York City , New York ) is an American actor .

Life

Fairbairn began his career in 1974 with a small guest role in the US crime series Police Story . In the same year he was hired by the producers of California Cops - New in Action to replace Michael Ontkean . As Officer Chris Owens , he appeared in 46 episodes of the series until it was discontinued after the end of season four. Another leading role in the series had Kate Jackson , with whom he later appeared on camera two more times; each in guest roles in Charlie's Angels and Agent with a Heart . He continued to receive regular television engagements in the 1980s, including appearances in The Incredible Hulk , Knight Rider and Remington Steele . He had a recurring role as Ray Geary in the soap opera Under the California Sun in 1984 . He made other recurring roles in LA Law - Star Lawyers, Tricks, Trials and The Cases of Rosie O'Neill . With the beginning of the 1990s, however, there were no other roles.

Fairbairn rarely had feature film roles, including the exploitation film Vampire Hookers starring alongside John Carradine , as well as minor roles in Lionel Chetwynd's war film The Hanoi Hilton and in Fred Olen Ray's low-budget film Tornado alongside Heather Thomas and Jeffrey Combs .
