Eberspoint is a district of the Lower Bavarian market Velden in the Landshut district .
geography
The parish village is about 4 km east of Velden, on the right side of the Große Vils , 2 km away from it.
history
The settlement of Eberspoints and the construction of the first wooden chapel is believed to have taken place at the time of the Frankish king, Charlemagne . At times, Eberspoint had market rights . The first designation as Markt Eberspoint goes back to 1597. In later sources, Hofmark Eberspoint is mentioned again . However, it is unclear when the market rights were granted or revoked for the place.
In the village is the church of St. Andrew, which was elevated to a parish church in 1962 . Presumably she was born in the 17th-18th centuries. Century built. The oldest proven existence of the church goes back to a mural from 1728 from Ruprechtsberg . Eberspoint has had its own football club since 1946.
