Ebert William Amâncio , Betão for short (born November 11, 1983 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

Betão began his career in 2001 with his hometown club Corinthians São Paulo . After he did not want to use the option to extend his contract at the end of 2007, he moved to FC Santos in early 2008 . He had previously played for Corinthians for 14 years and wore the captain's armband during the 2007 season. In his last season he was relegated with his club and was made a scapegoat. He played only five games for FC Santos before moving on to his next stop, Dynamo Kiev . He signed a five-year contract with Kiev and cost 2.5 million euros transfer fee. He quickly became a regular at his new club.

For the second half of the 2012/13 season , Kiev Betão borrowed from relegation-threatened French first division club FC Évian Thonon Gaillard . With the Savoy he not only managed to keep the class, but he was also in the state cup final with them .
