Ecsegfalva is a Hungarian community in the county Gyomaendrőd in Békés county .
Geographical location
Ecsegfalva is located 25 kilometers northeast of the city of Gyomaendrőd , on the bank of the Hortobágy-berettyó-főcsatorna . Neighboring communities are Dévaványa and Kisújszállás .
history
Until 1949 the place was part of the large municipality Dévaványa and was named Pusztaecseg . It then became an independent municipality and in 1950 the name of the place was changed to Ecsegfalva.
