Eddie Jackson (* 10. December 1993 in Lauderdale Lakes , Florida ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays as safety for the Chicago Bears .

college

Jackson attended the University of Alabama and played college football with great success for their team, the Crimson Tide . He initially started in the cornerback position , but was converted to safety after two seasons, and he was also called up as a return specialist . In 2015 he was not only able to win the national championship with his team against Clemson , he himself was named Defensive MVP in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game .

NFL

Jackson was selected as 112th overall by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft and was awarded a four-year contract worth $ 3.06 million , 665,797 of which as signing bonus . Already in his rookie season he was used as a starter in all encounters . Against the Carolina Panthers he was the first player ever to achieve two defensive touchdowns over 75 yards in one game.
