Lauderdale Lakes is a city in Broward County in the US state of Florida with 32,593 inhabitants (as of 2010). The geographical coordinates are: 26.17 ° North, 80.20 ° West. The urban area has a size of 9.4 km².

Lauderdale Lakes is about 25 miles north of Miami. Bordering communities are Tamarac , Lauderhill , Fort Lauderdale, and Oakland Park .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 32,593 inhabitants were distributed among 15,000 households. The population density was 3504.6 inh / km². 14.2% of the population identified themselves as whites , 80.6% as African-Americans , 0.2% as Indians and 1.2% as Asian Americans . 1.2% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.6% to several ethnic groups. 5.4% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .
In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 32.1% of all households lived in 35.9% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 66.8% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.71 people and the average family size was 3.31 people.
27.5% of the population were younger than 20 years, 25.3% were 20 to 39 years old, 25.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 21.5% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 38 years. 45.9% of the population were male and 54.1% were female.
The median annual income was $ 35,080, with 18.5% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 71.97% of the population, 14.48% spoke Haitian , 6.66% spoke Spanish, and 6.89% had another mother tongue.
