Hillsboro Pines is a census-designated place (CDP) in Broward County in the US state of Florida with 446 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Hillsboro Pines is 14 km north of Fort Lauderdale and is bordered by the towns of Parkland and Coconut Creek (Broward) and CDP Sandalfoot Cove ( Palm Beach ).

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the then 446 inhabitants were distributed over 153 households. The population density was 743.3 inh / km². 93.9% of the population identified themselves as white, 5.2% as African American and 0.4% as Asian Americans . 0.4% said they belonged to another ethnic group. 10.3% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 there were children under the age of 18 in 43.6% of all households and persons aged at least 65 years in 21.5% of all households. 76.5% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.99 people and the average family size was 3.44 people.

29.2% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 19.8% were 20 to 39 years old, 37.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 14.2% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 41 years. 52.5% of the population were male and 47.5% were female.
