Edgar Zoller (born January 18, 1958 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Zoller moved in the 1980/81 season of the 2nd Bundesliga North from SC Fortuna Cologne to VfB Oldenburg . This season he got his first job in the 6-2 win over Rot-Weiß Lüdenscheid . In total, he came to 24 missions this season, in which he scored two goals. At the end of the 1980/81 season, VfB Oldenburg rose to the third-class Oberliga Nord, where Zoller was used in 32 games in the 1981/82 season .
Then Zoller left VfB and joined 1. FC Saarbrücken for a year , with whom he recorded promotion from the Oberliga Südwest to the 2. Bundesliga in the 1982/83 season . For the 1983/84 season Zoller moved back to Oldenburg , where he came on 26 missions with two goals. In the following seasons he was consistently in the major league for his club and was always in the DFB Cup . After the 1989/90 season, Zoller's team took part in the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga. Here he was used in both games against Arminia Bielefeld . In the end, his club was able to qualify for the second division. In the many years in the league, Zoller collected 211 appearances and 13 goals near Oldenburg. In the 1991/92 season it was only used sporadically. This season the club even managed to take part in the promotion to the Bundesliga . However, the team missed this. Zoller came on in the game against Bayer 05 Uerdingen (1: 1) as a substitute for Joachim Gehrmann in the 81st minute.
