Edmundas Gedvila

Edmundas Gedvila (born July 2, 1943 in Kaunas , Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian entrepreneur , politician and mayor of the Jonava district (1990-1995).

Life

In 1976 Edmundas Gedvila graduated from the Academy of the Interior Ministry of the Soviet Union and became a lawyer . From 2006 to 2008 he was a member of the supervisory board of UAB " Jonavos autobusai ". He founded the real estate company UAB "Joneda" and ran it as director, publishes his own magazine "Joneda" in Jonava . From 2009 to 2010 he was Deputy Director at UAB "Jonavos paslaugos". In 2006 he retired.

From 1990 to 1995 he was Deputy Councilor of Jonava, Chairman of the Council of Deputies, from 1995 to 1997, from 2003 to 2007, from 2007 to 2011 and from 2011 to 2015 a member of the Jonava Rajonsrat.

Gedvila is the president of an employers' association in Jonava district.

He is married to Aldona Skaisgirytė-Gedvilienė , journalist, editor of “Joneda” and director of UAB “Joneda”. They have a daughter together.
