Eduard Lotichius

Eduard Karl Ernst August Lotichius (born November 11, 1847 in St. Goarshausen ; † August 24, 1908 there ) was a German entrepreneur and national liberal politician. He is the son of Karl Lotichius .

Life

After graduating from high school in Hanau , Lotichius attended the University of Leipzig . He received his doctorate as Dr. phil. After that he worked for a long time in the administration of his father's factory and as a manufacturer himself. He later lived as a privateer.

Lotichius was politically active in many ways. Among other things, he was a member of the district committee and city councilor. He belonged to the national liberal party and was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1882 to 1908 .

As a person interested in science, he campaigned, among other things, for better equipment for the Berlin Zoological Museum . Particular attention should be paid to the fauna of the colonies.
