Eduard Trabert

Eduard Trabert (born August 5, 1890 in Wickers in the Rhön , † February 22, 1969 in Kassel ) was a German trade unionist and politician ( center , CDU ).

Life and work

After attending primary school, Eduard Trabert completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and has practiced this profession since 1910. From 1915 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier .

Eduard Trabert was a union member and from 1920 to 1933 was district secretary in the Central Association of Christian Woodworkers. After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists, he was unemployed from 1933 to 1938. From 1938 to 1945 he worked as an employee at the Heeresnebenzeugamt in Kassel.

After the end of the Second World War , Eduard Trabert worked as an employee at the welfare office of the city of Kassel in 1945/46. In 1947 he was appointed government councilor in the Hessian labor ministry and had been deputy head of the Kassel employment office since 1949.

Political party

Eduard Trabert had been a member of the Center Party since 1910 . In 1945 he was one of the founders of the CDU in Northern Hesse . 1946/47 he was district secretary of the CDU North Hesse and 1950–1963 district chairman of the CDU Kassel-Land.

MP

Eduard Trabert was a council member of the city of Kassel from 1946/47 and from 1952 to 1964. In 1946 he was a member of the Advisory State Committee and the Constitutional Assembly of Greater Hesse . He was a member of the Hessian state parliament from 1946 to 1950 and from August 5, 1952, when he replaced the departed MP Werner Hilpert , until 1954.
