Edvards Pavlovskis (born August 30, 1950 in Beresņi, today Dagda novads , Latvia ) is Bishop of Jelgava .

Life

Edvards Pavlovskis received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Riga on May 25, 1975 through the auxiliary bishop in Riga, Valerijans Zondaks .

On July 22, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Jelgava. The retired Bishop of Jelgava, Antons Justs , donated him episcopal ordination on September 10th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Riga, Zbigņevs Stankevičs , and the Archbishop Emeritus of Riga, Jānis Cardinal Pujats . From June 20, 2012, Edvards Pavlovskis was also Apostolic Administrator of the Liepāja diocese . This he remained until the episcopal ordination of Viktors Stulpins on September 7, 2013.
