Jérôme Daniel Beau (born December 24, 1957 in Paris ) is a French clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Bourges .

Life

Jérôme Beau first completed a medical training before he decided on a spiritual career. On June 23, 1984, he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Paris through Archbishop Jean-Marie Cardinal Lustiger . From 1989 he was rector of the seminary of Paris, whose superior he was in 2001. In addition, between 1984 and 2001, Beau was pastor in various parishes in Paris.

On June 1, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Privata and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Paris. The Archbishop of Paris, André Vingt-Trois , donated him episcopal ordination on September 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the retired Archbishop of Paris, Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger, and the Bishop of Saint-Denis , Olivier de Berranger IdP .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Bourges on July 25, 2018. The inauguration took place on September 23 of the same year.
