Edward Dennis Head (born August 5, 1919 in White Plains , New York , USA , † March 29, 2005 in Buffalo ) was Bishop of Buffalo .

Life

Edward Dennis Head received on 27 January 1945 by the Archbishop of New York , Francis Spellman , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On January 27, 1970 Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Árd Sratha and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in New York. The Archbishop of New York, Cardinal Terence Cooke , ordained him episcopal on March 19 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Albany , Edwin Bernard Broderick , and the Coadjutor Archbishop of New York, John Joseph Maguire . On January 23, 1973 Paul VI appointed him. to the Bishop of Buffalo. The inauguration took place on March 19 of the same year.

On April 18, 1995, Pope John Paul II accepted Edward Dennis Head's resignation on grounds of age.
