Edwige Pierre (born January 8, 1951 in London ) is a British television actress who had her greatest successes in Germany .

biography

Edwige Pierre was born in London as the daughter of a French and a Spanish woman. At 14, she enjoyed musical training on the violin, guitar and piano. At 17 she took acting classes at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Still unknown in Germany, she appeared in Munich in 1970 in the ensemble of the German production of the musical Hair . In 1971 she was seen for the first time on German television in the television series Salto Mortale . In 1973 she played on the side of Karl-Michael Vogler and Heinz Schubert in the television series Kara Ben Nemsi Effendi . Between 1973 and 1974 her best-known role as Gypsy Rilana followed in the TV series Arpad, the Gypsy , for which she won the 1974 Bravo Otto in bronze in the category "TV star female". In 1975 she played next to Heinz Bennent in the TV version of Franz Kafka's Die Verwaltung . In 1976 she was seen in Alfred Vohrer's film adaptation of Ludwig Ganghofer's novel Das Schweigen im Walde . In 1978 she had a role in the comedy Summer Night Fever . In 1980 she played the role of Morgian in the television series Merlin . After appearing in the miniseries Alarm im Schlossmuseum in 1983, she retired from the television business.
