Edwin Borboa (born January 11, 1983 in Los Mochis , Sinaloa ) is a Mexican football player on the position of the striker .
Life
Borboa began his professional career in the 2002/03 season with the second division CD Tapatío and moved to their main club Club Deportivo Guadalajara in the 2004/05 season , for which he made his debut in the Mexican first division on August 23, 2004 in a home game against Pachuca , that ended 1: 1.
Although he scored important goals for Guadalajara - like the equalizer to 2-2 against the UNAM Pumas in a league game in the 2005/06 season and the interim equalization to 1-1 in the 4-2 victory of his team in the quarter-finals of the championship play-offs the Jaguares de Chiapas (first leg 2: 3), whereby the semi-finals for the Mexican championship was reached - the breakthrough was denied him. Therefore, at the beginning of 2007, immediately after winning the Apertura 2006, he moved to the Chivas USA branch team in the hope of being able to draw attention to himself through appropriate sporting achievements and to find his way back to the first team in Guadalajara.
The calculation worked insofar as the CF Atlante signed him for the 2007/08 season and he thus managed to return to the Mexican Primera División. In addition, Atlante surprisingly won the Apertura championship in 2007, so that Borboa was once again part of the squad of a championship team. Nevertheless, he did not make the desired breakthrough here and came in the entire 2007/08 season only to six missions and a single goal, which he succeeded in the 1: 2 defeat against the Estudiantes Tecos . In the summer of 2008 he moved to CF Pachuca , for whom he only came to three missions in the 2008 Apertura .
Since the beginning of 2009 Borboa played for the second division clubs Dorados de Sinaloa and Atlante UTN and currently for the Indios de Ciudad Juárez .
