Eforie Nord is a district of the city of Eforie in Romania on the Black Sea . The seaside resort is located near Eforie Sud and 14 kilometers south of Constanța on a land connection between the coast of the Black Sea and Lake Techirghiol .
description
In 1892, Eforie Nord became the first spa town in Romania. The focus of the offers are treatments with water and healing mud from the highly salty Techirghiol Lake , which are said to be particularly effective for rheumatic and endocrine diseases. The total capacity for spa guests is around 10,000, of which around 1400 are in a large spa and treatment complex consisting of the Delfinul , Meduza and Steaua de Mare hotels .
In the high season in summer, however, little reminds of a health resort - then Eforie Nord is a lively seaside resort with a wide range of holiday options, such as theaters, cinemas, cafes, night clubs and parks.
In a 1997 travelogue about Romanian seaside resorts, Eforie Nord is described as cheap but dirty and primitive . In travel offers from 2004, however, the place is described as well-kept .
