Egby is a village on the Swedish island of Öland, belonging to the municipality of Borgholm in the province of Kalmar Lan .
The village with the status of Småort (until 2000 and again since 2015; in the meantime the population had fallen below 50) is located east of Köpingsvik on the country road that runs parallel to the east coast of the island. The area of the settlement is 37 hectares .
The Church of Egby is known for their sometimes coming back to the Middle Ages equipment. In the area around Egby there are several of the typical Öland windmills.
