Lerkaka is a village on the east side of the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea .
The village, which belongs to the municipality of Borgholm in the province of Kalmar län, has had Småort status since 2015 , when its population had risen to over 50. The place extends in a north-south direction in an open construction along the eastern coastal road of the island.
Lerkaka is known for several culturally, historically and touristically significant buildings. At the southern exit of the town are the Lerkaka mills , one of Öland's landmarks. With the Linbasta from Lerkaka there is a historical flax kiln that is reminiscent of the linen weaving industry , which was important in the past . There is a rune stone in the village .
