The Egegik River is a 45 km long tributary of the Bering Sea in the east of the Alaska Peninsula in Southwest Alaska .
The Egegik River flows northwest from Becharof Lake to Bristol Bay . Across from Egegik , the King Salmon River flows into the river from the right. There the estuary of the Egegik River, the Egegik Bay, begins .
The Egegik River is a well-known fishing area. There are two lodges on the river . The following types of fish are caught: all five species of Pacific salmon , arctic grayling , rainbow trout , dolly varden trout , pike and arctic char .
