Egmar Gonçalves (born August 15, 1970 in Vila Velha ) is a former Brazilian - Singaporean football player .

In 2002 he took on the Singaporean nationality so that he could play on the national team.

Career

Egmar Gonçalves played for the Brazilian club Bangu AC in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 . Where he played from 1993 to 1998 is unknown. In 1999 he was under contract with SD Serra FC in Serra . In 2000 he moved to Asia . Here he signed a contract with Home United in Singapore . The club played in the highest league, the S. League . In 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2005 he won the Singapore Cup with Home United . In 2003 he celebrated the championship with the club, in 2002 and 2004 he was runner-up. With 30 goals he was the top scorer of the S. League in 2004. After a total of 190 games and 152 goals for Home , he returned to his homeland in 2007. Here he signed a one-year contract with Desportiva Ferroviária in Cariacica . At the end of 2007 he ended his career as an active football player.
