The Ehrentalbach is a small right tributary of the Powder Bach in Saarbrücken . Its name goes back to the "Ehrental" war memorial near its origin, which was built on August 6, 1870 after the Battle of Spichern .
course
The brook flows from its dammed up spring pond in the upper part of the German-French Garden (DFG) , west-southwest of the southern station of the Saarbrücken Park Railway . It flows in a natural course and sporadically from trees existed in an alluvial meadow the park in a north-westerly direction until it is finally piped 80 meters south-east of the audience area of the DFG's concert shell into the Deutschmühlenweiher through which the powder stream flows . In total, the Ehrentalbach is about 530 meters long.
