The Pulverbach is a left tributary of the Saar in the city of Saarbrücken in Saarland and the main body of water of the German mill valley there .
geography
course
The Pulverbach rises between Avenue de la Paix and Avenue de la Source in the Habsterdick part of the settlement of the city of Stiring-Wendel in the French department of Moselle near the border with Saarbrücken. At the beginning it flows north-east at a little distance from the rows of houses on the right and left in the damp, tree-lined hollow of the Deutschmühlental. The accompanying development ends at the state border, the forest becomes thicker and the stream now passes the Saarbrücken main cemetery. Where this wedges to the north, the cemetery stream runs from the southeast in a large pond, accompanied by Dr.-Vogeler-Strasse. A little later, the Folstergraben flows from the same direction , which has flowed through two ponds on its short path.
The Pulverbach now moves more and more northwards. Where it is dammed up at the Saarbrücker Spielcasino to the Deutschmühlenweiher , it finds out again through the Ehrentalbach inflow from the southeast. Finally it flows into the Saar from the left and south at the Saarbrücken exhibition center.
The whole length of the Pulverbach is followed on the left by the Rémilly – Saarbrücken railway . The mill ponds dammed up at its tributaries were once created by the Teutonic Order .
