Eileen Essell
Eileen Essell (born October 8, 1922 in London , England - † February 15, 2015 in the United Kingdom ) was a British actress whose film career only began in old age.
Life
Essel had worked on the stage for 13 years in the 1940s and 1950s, but ended her career after her marriage. Only after the death of her husband in 1998 did she start working again as an actress. An agent in the audience put her in a television role. Her first appearance on television was in her late 70s on an episode of the soap opera Doctors . Since then, she has appeared in many other television series including The Bill , Doc Martin , Hustle , Holby City , Casualty , Ideal and Sensitive Skin . In the episode Out of the Rain of the second season of the television series Torchwood , which was broadcast by the British television channel BBC , she had a guest role. Since 2002 she starred in several feature films.
