The Eilenriedehalle is an event hall in Hanover in the Zoo district in the immediate vicinity of the Hanover City Park and the Eilenriede . The hall belongs to the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC) and was built in 1975.

The Eilenriedehalle is the largest hall of the HCC with a total size of 4632 m². Their total length, divided into Eilenriedehalle A and the extension Eilenriedehalle B, is around 80 × 25 m. The width of both parts is around 44 m, the height of part A around 9 m and of part B 10 m. Without seating, the Eilenriedehalle can accommodate events with up to 7500 visitors.

Events

Before the opening of the TUI-Arena (then as Preussag -Arena) in 2000, the Eilenriedehalle was the preferred venue for major events of all kinds in Hanover. Concerts by numerous internationally known artists also took place here. Among others, Johnny Cash, ABBA , AC / DC , Bon Jovi , The Cure , David Hasselhoff , Iron Maiden , Meat Loaf , Mike Oldfield , Rainbow , Lou Reed , Saga , Styx and Whitesnake performed in the hall. In the past, television productions such as Wetten, dass ..? , Nose ahead , one person will win or music is the trump card broadcast live from the hall.

In the Eilenriedehalle on August 11th and 12th, 1990 the unification party congress of the FDP with the Bund Free Democrats , the German Forum Party and the FDP of the GDR took place.

Today the Eilenriedehalle is mainly used for smaller trade fairs.
