El Carmen Rivero Tórrez is a country town in the Santa Cruz department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

El Carmen Rivero Tórrez is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Carmen Rivero Tórrez in the province of Germán Busch . The city is located at an altitude of 152  m on the west-east running railway line that runs from Santa Cruz to Puerto Quijarro on the Bolivian- Brazilian border.

El Carmen Rivero Tórrez located in the Bolivian part of Pantanal , one of the largest inland - wetlands of the earth. North of the city rises up to 346 m, the ridge of the Serranía del Cármen , a south-eastern continuation of the Serranía Santiago by Roboré . The wetland of the Pozo de Soleta extends south of El Carmen and is fed from the northwest by the Río Otuquis .
