El Dorado (also Colonia Menonita El Dorado ) is an areal settlement in the Santa Cruz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
El Dorado is the fourth largest town in the municipality of Cabezas in the Cordillera province . The village is located at an altitude of 396 m between the national highway Ruta 9 in the west and five kilometers west of the Río Grande .

El Dorado is located on the southeastern edge of the Bolivian Cordillera Oriental in the area of the subtropical climate and is characterized by a six-month dry season that extends from May to October.
