El Palomar is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

El Palomar is the largest village in the canton of Mecapaca in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Mecapaca in the province of Murillo and is located at an altitude of 2805  m on the right bank of the Río de la Paz , which comes from the capital La Paz past the Illimani in the northeast Towards the Río Beni .
