Elbe-Obst consists of the producer organization r. V. , Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH and Fruchtverarbeitung GmbH. The three companies organize the marketing of the products of their 350 members. Is cultivated in about 5500 hectares core , stone and soft fruit . The main product is the apple . In 2013 Elbe-Obst achieved sales of 116.5 million euros and marketed 164,000 tons of fruit.

Producer organization
The Elbe fruit producer organization r. V. was founded in 1968. It is an association of around 350 fruit producers today. These grow pome, stone and soft fruit on an area of around 5500 hectares. The Altes Land growing area is on the left side of the Elbe and west of Hamburg . The annual harvest amounts averaged over 150,000 tons. Elbe fruit thus represents the vast majority of the growing area in the "Altes Land". The harvested fruit is bundled, sorted, processed and packed at the sorting and packing stations in the growing area. Each station has a disposition, refrigerated and CA warehouse .
Sales organization
The Elbe-Obst Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH, founded in 1994, consists of a network of trading companies and the Elbe-Obst producer organization r. V. It supplies the German food retail trade, the export market, the convenience sector and the processing industry (e.g. juice and mousse factories). Elbe-Obst Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH is listed with customers and is responsible for preparing offers, invoicing , collecting and shipping. Thanks to the close integration of the producer organization and the sales company, Elbe-Obst offers "cultivation and marketing from a single source".

Fruchtverarbeitung GmbH was founded in 1974 and has been part of the Elbe fruit producer organization r. V. Mainly apples are processed. They are peeled, cored and cut into cubes, segments, strips or french fries. The type of cut can be tailored to almost every customer request. The firmness of apples, which was predominant in the old country, promotes their peelability.
Products
Pome fruit
The apple is the main product. In addition to classic apple varieties such as Elstar , Jonagold , Braeburn , Roter Boskoop and Holsteiner Cox , the range also includes branded varieties such as Kanzi , Rubens , Sweetango and Fräulein . In addition, the Rockit Apple snack apple and the red- fleshed Kissabel apple variety are marketed through Red Apple Germany GmbH.
Stone fruit
Stone fruits include sweet and sour cherries as well as plums and plums. In particular, the protected cultivation of sweet cherries under roof is steadily increasing.
Soft fruit
In addition to strawberries and raspberries, the members of Elbe-Obst also grow red and green gooseberries, black and red currants and blackberries.
Sponsorship
Since 2010 Elbe-Obst has been the official sponsor and premium partner of the national league team of handball women of Buxtehuder SV (BSV). The handball players also act as “apple ambassadors” at various events.
