Elena Risteska
Elena Risteska ( Macedonian Елена Ристеска , also Elena Ristevska ; born April 27, 1986 in Skopje ) is a singer from North Macedonia .
Live and act
She got into the music business at the age of 16 when she won a casting competition. A year later, in 2003, she released her first album (Ден и ноќ, Den i noć, "Day and Night"). At the same time she studies Italian and literature .
She was a participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 and started for Macedonia with the title Ninanajna . At the national level, she qualified on March 4, 2006, when she beat 19 other competitors. She had a lead of 133 votes over the runner-up. In the final in Athens she reached twelfth place with 56 points, which meant the best position at the ESC to date for Macedonia.
