Daniel Kajmakoski ( Kyr . : Даниел Кајмакоски, born October 17, 1983 in Struga , Yugoslavia ) is a North Macedonian - Austrian singer and songwriter .

Life

Daniel Kajmakoski has lived in Vienna since he was six . In 2003 he took part in the second season of the Austrian casting show Starmania and finished eighth there. He also won the first season of X Factor Adria , the Balkan counterpart to X Factor . On November 12, 2014, Kajmakoski won the Skopje Festival with the song Lisja esenski (in German: Herbstlaub), Macedonia's national preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, with which he was allowed to represent Macedonia, but he failed in the semifinals, making his entry into Finale failed. The song was written by the Swedish composer Joacim Persson, the lyrics were written by Aleksandar Mitevski and the singer himself. The original English version, Autumn Leaves, was selected for the Eurovision Song Contest .

As early as 2011 he tried to compete in the Song Contest for Austria as part of Thomas Raber's “One World Project”. However, the jury did not select this entry for the final round.

After Eric Papilaya , Nadine Beiler and Tom Neuwirth alias Conchita Wurst, he is the fourth participant from Starmania to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest. Unlike his predecessors, however, he was not a participant in the third season, but the second, and also did not start for Austria.

On May 22, 2016, he won the 3rd season of Tvoje lice zvuči poznato , the Serbian version of the vocal show Your Face Sounds Familiar .
