Jana Burčeska ( Macedonian Јана Бурческа ; born December 8, 1993 in Skopje ) is a Macedonian pop singer .

Burčeska took part in the first season of Macedonian Idol , the Macedonian version of Pop Idol, in 2010 . There she reached fifth place. In 2010 she was a UNICEF ambassador and thus fought against violence in schools . In 2012, 2013 and 2015 she took part in the Skopje Fest , which usually functions as the Macedonian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest if there is no internal selection. On November 21, 2016, the MRT announced that Burčeska would represent Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 .

With the pop song Dance Alone , she could not qualify for the final in the second semifinals. She received more attention anyway, because her boyfriend made her a marriage proposal in the live broadcast and she answered it positively.
