Elene Gokieli

Elene Gokieli ( Georgian ელენე გოკიელი , Russian Елена Гокиели , Jelena Gokieli; born August 25, 1918 in Tbilisi ; † December 31, 1992 ) was a Georgian hurdler who started for the Soviet Union and because of her sprint strength also in the 4-time-100 -Meter relay was used.

At the European Athletics Championships in Oslo in 1946 , she won silver over the 80 m hurdles and bronze with the Soviet 4 x 100 meter relay. Four years later she was sixth over the 80 m hurdles at the European Championships in Brussels and won bronze again with the Soviet relay.

In 1952 she reached the semifinals at the Olympic Games in Helsinki over 80 m hurdles.
