Elfershausen is a part of the municipality of Malsfeld in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse .
geography
Elfershausen is west of the main town in northern Hesse at the foot of the Falkenberg. On the south-western outskirts of the village, the state roads 3224 and 3435 meet with the county road 28. In the west, further away, the federal motorway 7 runs .
history
In 1253 the village was first mentioned as Elfershusen . In 1345 the place, which had fallen desolate in the meantime, was settled again. The church is mentioned for the first time in 1585 .
On February 1, 1971, Elfershausen was incorporated into the municipality of Malsfeld as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
