Elimar Freiherr von Fürstenberg
Elimar Freiherr von Fürstenberg (born September 27, 1910 in Kadiköy , Istanbul ; † July 10, 1981 in Wesseling near Bonn) was a German politician ( Bavarian Party , later CSU ).
Freiherr von Furstenberg, the son of Bavarian chamberlain, which attended high school in Landshut to then philosophy and political science to study. In 1929 he became a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Teutonia Friborg. In 1936 he received his doctorate as Dr. phil. From 1937 to 1939 he worked for the Deutsche Bank- und Discountgesellschaft Istanbul until he was called up for military service.
After being taken prisoner, he returned to Germany in 1947 . Fürstenberg had been a lecturer at the University of Regensburg since 1948 . In the 1949 federal election , he was directly elected to the German Bundestag for the Bavarian party in the Landshut constituency with 32.9% of the votes , of which he remained a member until 1953. On January 19, 1951, he joined the CSU. In the second federal election in 1953 , he no longer ran. After leaving politics, he became German consul in Marseille .
