Elisabeth Soffé

Elisabeth Soffé (born March 15, 1888 in Brno , † February 28, 1966 in Salzburg ) was a German-Moravian , Czechoslovak and Austrian writer .

Live and act

She was born as the daughter of the literary historian Emil Soffé , graduated in 1906 and taught in Brno from 1908 to 1938, most recently as a specialist teacher at a community school . The writing activity began with the publication of travel reports , poems and essays in various newspapers and magazines. From 1938 she was a freelance writer. After her expulsion , she came to Salzburg, where she briefly worked as a secondary school teacher , but mostly as an author. She was a member of the Writers 'Association for Moravia and Silesia as well as the Eichendorff Society and the Innviertel Artists' Guild .
