Elise Vanderelst (born January 27, 1998 ) is a Belgian middle-distance runner .

Athletic career

Elise Vanderelst gained her first international experience in 2015, when she reached the semi-finals in the 800-meter run at the Youth World Championships in Cali , where she was eliminated with 2: 17.03 min. The following year she finished fourth at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz in 2: 05.82 minutes and in 2017 she was seventh at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto in 2: 10.50 minutes. In 2018 she qualified in the 1500 meter run for the European Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated in the first round with 4: 10.30 minutes. The following year she won the silver medal behind the British Jemma Reekie at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 4: 23.50 minutes .

In 2020 Vanderelst became Belgian indoor champion in the 1,500 meter run.
