Elke Wiswedel (born May 3, 1971 in Ründeroth , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German radio presenter . It can currently be heard on NDR 2 .

Life and work

Wiswedel grew up in Ründeroth. During her studies in communication sciences , she worked as a reporter and presenter for the private local broadcaster Radio Essen , after which she switched to radio ffn in Lower Saxony . In 1999 Wiswedel began to present for the North German Broadcasting Corporation , initially for two years with the youth wave N-Joy and since April 2001 with NDR 2. There she presented the morning program together with Jan Malte Andresen until she went on maternity leave in March 2007 . Since Wiswedel has been moderating again, she can mainly be heard on NDR 2 afternoons (usually alternating weekly with Hinnerk Baumgarten ), at irregular intervals she also moderates NDR 2 morning as a substitute . From September 2015 to December 2019 she hosted the program Wiswedel & Mahrhold - Der NDR 2 Afternoon together with Jens Mahrhold during the week . From January 2020 she and her colleague Jens Mahrhold (formerly with Elke Wiswedel in the afternoon) will replace the program “Ponik and Petersen - Der NDR 2 Morgen”, since Ilka Petersen switched to NDR television. From 2020 she will moderate the “NDR 2 Morgen mit Elke and Jens” with Jens Mahrhold.

Elke Wiswedel commented together with Horst Hoof (then Radio Hamburg, now NDR 1 Welle Nord ) on the awarding of the German Radio Prize 2015.
